Grandfather Clock – Nearing Completion

 In Clocks, Furniture, Marquetry

Keeping with the theme of “legacy” projects that have been hanging out and not being completed, I started working on the final pieces for the Grandfather clock.  I have been working on getting the last few items completed in order to have the clock sitting in the living room, with the Westminster chimes ringing down the hallway.

Some teaser photos will have to do right now.  I will keep updating the project as we get closer to completion.  As it sits now, I have moved the clock to the living room, and need to install all of the clock mechanisms and get the clock running.  I have misplaced one of the turned and fluted clock face columns (I have looked everywhere but where it is….) and I need to find a brass pull knob for the clock face door.  Once I have those items installed, I will set up the camera and take some final photos.  I will update the blog, and post it in the Projects section.
